Congratulations!

 We are proud to announce two of our Heartland Region faculty, Kelvie Crabb of KU & Dr. Kimberly Church of UMKC, and Dr. Gail Hoover King of Purdue Northwest have received the national 2018 Jim Bulloch Award for Innovations in Management Accounting Education sponsored by the IMA for their project “Launch Learning: A Compendium of Cases for Students to Create, Collaborate and Comprehend Managerial Accounting”.  The award is to recognize and reward faculty members who have created or written innovative pedagogical practices or curriculum materials in the area of management accounting and will be conveyed at the American Accounting Association Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. in August 2018.

We are proud to announce two of our Heartland faculty, Dr. Pamela J. Schmidt of Washburn & Dr. Kimberly Church of UMKC, and Dr. Jennifer Riley of UNO have been awarded a 2018 Applied Research Track grant from the IMA foundation for their project
“From My Cold, Dead Hands: Will We Ever Give Up Our Beloved Excel?”. This grant helps bridge the gap between academics and management accounting professionals and will be executed at the 2018 IMA Annual Conference in Indianapolis, IN.
